Founded on a Passion for Early Learning

OUR STORY

Learning Adventure S.T.E A.M. Academy was founded in 2026 by educators who believed that early childhood is the most critical time for development. We saw a need for childcare that goes beyond supervision - care that actively nurtures curiosity, creativity, and confidence. From our first classroom to our thriving community today, we've remained committed to providing a safe, engaging environment where children can explore, learn, and grow. Our S.T.E A.M. curriculum reflects our belief that young children are natural scientists, engineers, artists, and problem-solvers. Today, we're proud to serve families in and throughout Bay Minette, AL, offering programs for infants through school-age children. Every day, we work to create meaningful experiences that prepare children for kindergarten and beyond.

Play is how children learn best. Our curriculum uses hands-on activities, exploration, and discoviery to teach foundational skills.

We believe parents are a child's first teacher. We maintain open communication and welcome family involvement in our community.

Meet Dr. Sheletta Williams
LEADERSHIP
Director and Founder
With over 15 years of experience in early childhood education, Dr. Williams founded Learning Adventure with a vision to create a child care center that truly prioritizes children's development and family partnerships.
Dr. Williams holds a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education and certifications in Montessori methods and S.T.E.A.M. curriculum design. Before founding Learning Adventure, she served as a lead teacher and curriculum coordinator at several award-winning preschools.
"I believe every child has unique gifts and potential," says Dr. Williams. "Our role is to create an environment where they feel safe to explore, make mistakes, and discover their passions. When children feel loved and supported, amazing things happen."
Outside the classroom, Dr. Williams is a mother of two and an active member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
